Amazon has announced the availability of its new family plan for Amazon Music Unlimited. This plan is priced at $14.99/month for Amazon Prime and non-Prime customers. Amazon Prime customers can also take advantage of a special savings with the option to purchase an annual package for $149. The plan accommodates six members, and each one gets unlimited streaming and personalized recommendations based on their own listening history.
Amazon introduced Music Unlimited in October with the mission of creating a service that could compete with services such as Spotify and Google Play Music. While Amazon is late to the market, the company is distinguishing its service with plan options and voice controls. Customers can purchase less expensive plans for a single Amazon device, such as the Amazon Echo. Music Unlimited is also integrated with Alexa, Amazon’s voice assistant, which enables a range of available options for interacting with the service.
